I am not really sure which year, or the reason all these photos were taken. Some of these were BAGMA committee members, but others were not. From the people on the film it dates to around 1988 or 1989. More likely 1988.
OWeek photograps from 1989. Those wearing the decorated singlets were the OWeek co-ordinators. We had a darkroom in the hall at the time, hence the B&W film.
In the 70s and 80s the Forestry School used to have “Pewter Nights”, at which Foresters were “initiated”. This basically involved skulling pewters until you were sick.
The following photos are of Burton Hall Foresters, 12 August 1981.

It happened and that is all that should be said.
During Bush Week we used to have a scavenger hunt on the Thursday night, the judging of which was on Friday morning, closing at 12:00 noon. There were also points awarded for the various stunts pulled off during the night or morning. For example we hung a For Sale sign of Telstra tower, visible from […]
The trip to Goulburn story occurred after Commencement dinner in 1985. After the dinner a reasonable sized group of us continued at the Private Bin. I’d like to say this place was not as bad as it sounded, however it was worse. It closed in the 90s after there were numerous fights outside it each […]
Helen Turner was First Year Rep, (nee Davidovic) Chris Bolden was President, in 86 Kerri Elgar was 1st Year Rep.

Someone said something about not wanting to go there and just get a hamburger, but do something special, […]
We used to have annual “Sportsman’s Nights”, at which the various sports handed out their best-and-fairest trophies, etc. Anyone who’d represented Burton Hall in a sport got a certificate. I attach an indicative one of mine.

The winning alternative design for the Parliament House was created while I was at Burton Hall (from 1979 to the 2/3rd of the way through 1980).
We set up the keg of beer on the grass that was on the other side of the car park (to the north of Burton Hall) […]

In her second year she ran for BAGMA under the platform named Tupperware Party. (Apparently tupperware, shoulder pads and big
hair were popular back then). Rachel is […]
